Paul Sapienza, co-owner of Sound Shapes and son of founder Theresa Sapienza, has been an integral part of the practice since its earliest days. Educated in Boston and a resident of the area for more than three decades, Paul has deep ties to the community he proudly serves.

With a longstanding passion for health, wellness, and fitness, Paul immediately embraced his mother’s vision when Sound Shapes was first established. Drawing on years of business experience, he played a pivotal role in transforming that vision into a welcoming, trusted, and thriving practice.

As a co-owner, Paul is deeply committed to fostering a warm, family-centered environment where every client feels valued, supported, and genuinely cared for. His dedication to both people and purpose is reflected in the personalized experience and positive culture that define Sound Shapes.

Outside of the practice, Paul enjoys fishing, golfing, and spending quality time with his son.

Theresa Sapienza is the heart and guiding force behind Sound Shapes, bringing more than four decades of nursing experience spanning Emergency Medicine, the Operating Room, Hospice, and a wide range of clinical specialties. Her career is defined by clinical excellence, ethical leadership, and an unwavering commitment to compassionate care.

She previously owned and operated a medical billing audit firm, where she reviewed medical records for fraud and abuse—an experience that further shaped her dedication to integrity, accountability, and patient advocacy. From an early age, Theresa observed how aging can make self-care more challenging, inspiring a lifelong mission to help individuals feel confident, strong, and supported at every stage of life.

Driven by a deep desire to serve, Theresa founded Sound Shapes as a space where clients feel at ease pursuing natural, minimally invasive aesthetic and wellness treatments. Her philosophy is rooted in the belief that lasting wellness begins from within and should be approached with intention, balance, and respect for the body.

Theresa remains actively involved in the business while fully embracing life—spending her time sailing coastal waters, climbing mountains, and taking on rugged hikes. She is living proof that aging well is not about slowing down, but about caring for the body thoughtfully and living with purpose.

Meet the Injector

Lauren Uehlin is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and certified advanced aesthetic injector with over 15 years of clinical experience and more than a decade practicing medicine as a primary care provider. Her extensive medical background provides a thoughtful, anatomy-driven approach to aesthetic medicine.

Known for her focus on facial harmony and natural-looking, refined injectable results, Lauren believes the most sophisticated outcomes are subtle, balanced, and highly individualized. She also brings over 10 years of experience in medical weight-loss management, offering a comprehensive, medically guided approach to aesthetics and wellness.

Lauren emphasizes that injectables alone are never the full solution, thoughtfully integrating prescriptive and medical-grade skincare to support skin health, longevity, and optimal results. Her passion for skincare, paired with advanced education and clinical expertise, allows her to guide patients with clarity and confidence toward achieving personalized, long-term skin goals.

Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Lauren earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Outside the clinic, she is an avid runner, artist, and traveler who enjoys time with her husband and their two ragdoll cats.

Meet the Aesthetician | Toni

Toni is a licensed aesthetician with extensive experience in medical aesthetics. She completed over 1,200 hours of advanced esthetics training at the Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics, including laser certification, and has been practicing since 2005.

Known for her precision and personable approach, Toni is especially passionate about waxing services, where she values the opportunity to build long-term relationships and provide individualized care. Her attention to detail and commitment to client comfort allow each visit to feel both professional and personal.

Outside the treatment room, Toni enjoys traveling and finds inspiration everywhere—from weekend escapes in New England to international destinations. Her appreciation for diverse environments and cultures reflects the thoughtful, well-rounded care she brings to every client experience.
